Tonight in the Chronicles of Fuzzbutt…

OK, first of all, let me just say, you humans are sick!

As many of you know, we went to the vet today. It was “Neuter Day”! Ya, only thing was we didn’t realize what exactly that entailed. Nothing from my short time as a stray could have prepared me for today. I heard my fellow felines talking about “getting fixed”, but never did I think that they were talking about this. Clyde talked about it some, and Mittens mentioned it, but I thought they were just making mountains out of molehills. And then there was poor Tom. He was the resident tomcat that was kinda on the crazy side. He had a weird eye from too many cat fights. One ear was kinda mangled and he always smelled kinda funny. Rumor was that he never quite recovered from his. But I just though he was old and crazy.

It started just like any normal trip to the vet. Went in and got in really quick this morning. Looking back, that probably should have told me something was up. The human just dropped me off and vanished! The nurse lady took me back and gave me one more booster on one of my vaccines, then she gave me another shot. At first it was nice, so relaxing. I could feel every care in the world melting away. But then the room started spinning, and everything started getting blurry. And then I was out! Don’t know for exactly how long, but when I started coming to, the room was still spinning. I finally came to myself and started trying to get my fur back in order. Whatever they had done to me, they had really messed things up. That’s when I discovered it. I was happily just washing away when I realized there was a slight discomfort “down there”…  I glanced down and had to do a double take! SOMEONE STOLE MY NUTS!!! What kind of sicko does that?!?! I mean, really? I mean, sure, I wasn’t using them, but it would have been nice if they had ask first! And, of course, the dog thinks its funny! He said that they did it to him a long time ago. I mean, he could have warned me!

I guess, at least now I’m back at home. This is going to take a little getting used to though. My “meow” is a little bit higher than it used to be. Kinda gets on my own nerves a little. I guess I’ll get used to it eventually. Gonna be sleeping with one eye open for a while though. Don’t want them cutting anything else off!

Tonight in the Chronicles of Fuzzbutt…

Well, the human says that we are going on an adventure tomorrow. Going back to the vet. We’ve been there before. We can handle this, no problem. He says they’re going to do something called “neuter”. Whatever that is. The lady at the vets office seems to really like me though, so I don’t think I have anything to worry about. Stay tuned, we’ll let you know.

The Holidays Are Upon Us!

Well, we just had Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before you know it. I hope that during this holiday season we all slow down and remember what these holidays really represent. Thanksgiving, a time to be thankful for the blessings in your life, whether that be the friends and loved ones that God has blessed you with, or the actual material things that so many others don’t have. And Christmas, a time to remember our saviors birth. I am so thankful that he came to this old world, went through the struggles and heartaches that is life in this poor old fallen world, died for my sins, and rose from the grave, conquering death once and for all. We could never thank Him enough for that alone, much less all the blessings and miracles he has graced us with.

This Thanksgiving I am so very thankful for my family. I love each and every one of them and I pray that God blesses them more than they could ever hold. I am thankful for my friends, I have an interesting array of friends. I appreciate each and every one of you. You make this life here on earth a whole lot more fun, thats for sure! I pray that the Lord blesses you all with an amazing year ahead. I am also thankful to my God above for meeting my needs. I pray to Him daily and I wonder if He ever thinks, like a worn out parent, “What does he want now?”. And with that, I am most thankful for my God above. Without Him, I wouldn’t have any of the other things to be thankful for!

Looking forward to Christmas, I pray that each one of you is able to stop and reflect on your life and realize that God has blessed you so much. Sure you may not have the best of everything, but there’s someone out there that would kill for what you do have. There’s always someone worse off than we are. So please, stop, look around, realize all the things in your life that God has blessed you with. Whether that be a loving spouse, beautiful children, a warm home, food in the refrigerator, a place to rest your head, the fur-babies, whatever. Stop, look to your God above, and say “Thank You!”.

Well, I’m going to give this another go. I am starting a blog and would love to have you along for the ride. Many people have told me that I should either start a blog or write a book with my “Chronicles of Fuzzbutt” posts on Facebook. So I am doing just that. I will also have inspirational Christian posts, some recipes and maybe even some crafty stuff. Who knows, going to just see what develops.
